Rich Selection of Natives Helps Gardeners Seeking Drought-Tolerant Plants
DENVER, Colo. (April XX, 2026) —Plum Creek Garden Market is prepared for the Front Range’s avid and ardent gardeners with local markets stocked with its wide range of annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs, ornamental grasses, natives, and bountiful hanging baskets. Plum Creek opened five markets this year, including locations in Castle Rock, Erie, Centennial, Greenwood Village, and Littleton.
With mandatory water restrictions across Denver and surrounding counties, this season Plum Creek is focused on helping customers choose drought-resistant plants with its expanded selection of natives.
“After one of the driest winters on record, we are sensitive to the need for water-wise gardens,” said owner Jeremy Friedman. “We’re proud to offer an expansive inventory of natives through Plant Select, which specializes in plants designed to thrive in high plains.”
Friedman commented, “People often assume native gardens are made up of shrubs or grasses that look like weeds, but that’s far from the case. There are plenty of options that are vibrant, fragrant, easy to care for, and even allergy-friendly.”
Plum Creek has also added many perennials in quart sizes that were traditionally only offered in larger sizes, such as Heuchera (Coral Bells), Hosta, Russian Sage, and more, making plant purchases easier on your budget.
“It’s a big year for Plum Creek, especially with our Centennial market opening. It is a privilege to help Front Range gardeners curate and cultivate their landscapes with our abundant varieties,” added Friedman.
